Please accept my humble obeisances.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
I hope you are all in good health, and that regardless of the present challenges we face due to the epidemic you can actively participate in Srila Prabhupada's mission.
The members of the Hungarian yatra are looking forward to serving you once again - in the meantime please allow me to inform you of the decision that the yatra's leadership has made in regards to foreign devotees visiting our centres or wishing to participate in our upcoming festivals.
There are many places around the world where the pandemic has effected a large number of people, however in Hungary there have not been so many infections – as a result of this the yatras leadership had decided to open the centres and allow visitors to come, in addition to re-starting our sankirtana activities.
Of course all of this is taking place by following strict health restrictions.
Having said that, the situation is different for those wishing to visit our centres coming from abroad, regardless if they are Hungarian devotees coming home, guests, friends or relatives. Due to the worrying pandemic situation in some countries where they are arriving from we will be paying closer attention and restrictions will apply.
The Government of Hungary has classified countries into "red", "yellow" and "green" categories, based on the severity of the COVID situation in that particular country.
These categories are constantly changing.
The leadership of the Hungarian yatra requests visiting devotees to follow the government regulations and collect all necessary information by visiting the abouthungary.hu web-site well before their scheduled visit.
If any of you would like to visit one of our centres for a longer period, or with a group (4 people or more), please contact the manager of the given centre before your visit.
Please note - for the safety of all devotees – we are only allowing devotees who reside in Hungary to participate in the upcoming 2020 Janmastami and Radhastami festivals.
We know it may cause difficulty to many of you, but the safety of our community is our main concern and we do not want to increase the risk of infections brought in from abroad. It is well known that members of religious communities are at a higher risk of getting infected with the virus, since during ceremonies the members are in a close proximity to each other for longer periods of time.
Local visiting tourists that are coming for a very short period of time in a single day fall into a different category.
Please understand that although these restrictions might seem strict, we are trying our best to keep the members of ISKCON Hungary in good health.
We hope that very soon the time will come again when anyone can freely visit our centres and participate in our festivals, so that we can glorify Sri Sri Radha-Syamasundara and Sri Sri Dayal-Nitai Vijaya-Gauranga in each other's association.
I wish all of you all good physical and spiritual health.
